DECEMBER 28: LYON
Boarding at 3:00 p.m. in Lyon. Cruise to Arles. Crew presentation and welcome drink. Dinner and evening of onboard entertainment. Cruise through the night.
DECEMBER 29: ARLES
Full board on board. Morning spent cruising through the picturesque landscapes of southern France, passing first Valence, dominated by the Saint Apollinaire Cathedral and then Montelimar, famous the world over for its sweet nougat. Arriving in Arles and guided visit of the town. With many of its ancient buildings still clearly visible today, the city has been justifiably classified as a “Ville d'Art et d'Histoire” in France, and its Roman and Romanesque monuments have been listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites since 1981. Return on board. Overnight.
DECEMBER 30: ARLES- AVIGNON
Full board on board. Cruise to Avignon. Guided visit of Avignon and the “palais des Papes” (Papal Palace). Avignon's architectural heritage is so wonderful that the old town center was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Return on board and afternoon spent cruising to Vienne. Gala evening, cruise through the night..
DECEMBER 31: VIENNE - LYON
Full board on board. Arriving in Vienne, the Roman city. Return on board and cruise to Lyon. Visit of Lyon. The town has preserved its important architectural heritage that goes from Roman times through the Renaissance and right into the 20th century. New Year's Eve dinner followed by a wonderful evening of dancing. Discovery cruise of Lyon by night, Lyon's illuminated old quarters, which are uniquely beautiful seen from the river. Overnight.
JANUARY 1: LYON
Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. End of our services.
